Le Creuset Released a ‘Wicked’ Collection

I watched the 2024 Wicked movie shortly after it began streaming. The timing was perfect—I was days into my first run-in with Coronavirus and was the sickest I had been in years. My body was weak, and I, quite honestly, was depressed and desperate to relieve COVID symptoms. A nearly three-hour movie filled with whimsy was exactly what I needed to bring some life back to my soul. Strong characters, like Glinda and Elphaba, and thoughtfully built worlds tend to evoke that in people. And honestly, Le Creuset Dutch ovens do just the same for many (me included). It makes sense why we’d want to continue that in our homes through memorabilia, especially when it combines those two worlds—Wicked and Le Creuset—completely. 

Good news: Le Creuset released a collaboration ahead of the release of the second movie, Wicked: For Good. The brand’s coveted 4.5-quart Dutch oven is now available with two new designs—a green Elphaba-themed pot and a pink Glinda-themed pot—in the hopes of reminding you how important self-expression is.

Wicked Collection 4.5-Quart Glinda Embossed Signature Round Dutch Oven

The inspiration behind the Glinda design was to evoke her admirable confidence. Splashed with a shell pink color, the Dutch oven’s ombré style features a strong contrast from top to bottom, much like Glinda’s evolving character throughout the story. The custom embossing on the top shows a crown-adorned Glinda in motion, holding her bright wand as a butterfly appears behind her. It’s topped with a gold knob and the Le Creuset logo, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it sells out fast—it’s sure to be popular. 

Wicked Collection 4.5-Quart Elphaba Embossed Signature Round Dutch Oven

This Dutch oven’s design portrays Elphaba’s blistering strength and originality. The pot is an artichaut green that fades from lighter hues to deeper, darker shades. Elphaba is prominently embossed on the lid, holding her broom with strength. Behind her is a flying monkey. This Dutch oven comes with a silver knob. 

What’s special about both Dutch ovens, if you grab them together, is that Glinda and Elphaba were designed specifically to face each other when they’re side by side—a nod to the pair’s final duet. Both Le Creuset Wicked Dutch ovens are 4.5 quarts, with oven-safe capabilities up to 500°F, so they’re great for fall and winter soups, sauces, jams, bread and other seasonal recipes.
