    • Aldi has October covered with warm, cozy autumn flavors.
    • From cheese and soups to spiced bread and burritos, mealtime will be a snap.
    • There are even a couple of items to help keep you organized.

The temperatures outside are dropping, which means that it’s time for warm, cozy meals, and for October, Aldi is making it easy for you. From creamy soups and cheesy burritos to flavored coffees and pumpkin spice bread, now is the time to gobble up some deals. We’ll even give you some ideas on how to make them your own and create family favorites that everyone will love.

There’s plenty of new items coming to Aldi shelves this month—let’s break down some of our favorites.

    Emporium Selection Halloween Cheese Assortment

Design elements: Courtesy of Brand. EatingWell design.

    $4.49 per 5.29- to 7-ounce package; available October 1

Whether you’re putting together a Halloween charcuterie board or just want to have an assortment of cheese on hand for snacking, Emporium Selection has you in mind. Choose from four different flavors: Wensleydale cheese with cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg; Bat Knit Crazy Cheddar; Death by Garlic Black Garlic Cheddar Cheese; and Freaky Franken Sage Derby. All of these cheeses would be a perfect melter in any of our grilled cheese sandwiches. And since grilled cheese and soup make a hearty meal, you’ll definitely want to check out our Veggie Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup and Butternut Squash Soup with Apple Grilled Cheese Sandwiches.

Whole & Simple Chicken Enchilada Burritos

Design elements: Courtesy of Brand. EatingWell design.

    $7.49 per 16-ounce package; available October 1

After working all day or running kids around, dinner calls for something quick and easy. These Whole & Simple Chicken Enchilada Burritos will have dinner on the table in no time. Each package contains four burritos loaded with protein- and fiber-rich ingredients, including white meat chicken, brown rice, black beans, jalapeno pepper and ooey-gooey Monterey Jack and white Cheddar cheeses. Add a salad to round out the meal, like our Simple Green Salad with Citronette (or just grab a salad kit while you’re at the store).

    Southern Grove Trail Mix

Design elements: Courtesy of Brand. EatingWell design.

    $4.99 per 10-ounce package; available October 1

Everyone needs a go-to packable snack, and trail mix is a fan favorite. Sometimes, trail mix can double as a dessert, like this month’s Southern Grove trail mix in two irresistible flavors. The Chocolate Mint mix is a blend of salted roasted peanuts, mini mint drops, fudge mini cups, chocolate cookie gems, dark chocolate-dipped almonds and fudge brownie bites. The Chocolate Caramel Coconut flavor contains coconut caramel bites, roasted almonds, coconut-flavored mini cups and caramel mini cups.

Each serving has 10 grams of added sugar (about 20% of your daily allotment), but when eaten in moderation, these trail mixes can fit into most healthy eating patterns. If you’re trying to limit or avoid added sugar, then making your own trail mix is a good idea, as you can add any combination of nuts, seeds and dried fruit you want. Check out our Homemade Trail Mix recipe to get started.

    Simply Nature Pumpkin Spice Bread

Design elements: Courtesy of Brand. EatingWell design.

    $3.99 per 20-ounce package; available October 8

There’s just something about warm, toasty, aromatic bread on a cold fall morning, and this Simply Nature Pumpkin Spice Bread is just begging to be plunked into your toaster. Besides smelling and tasting like autumn, this pumpkin spice bread has no artificial colors or flavors and no high fructose corn syrup. And if avoiding genetically modified ingredients is important to you, they’ve got you covered, since this bread is non-GMO. Add a simple swipe of butter or cream cheese, and serve alongside fruit and scrambled eggs for a satisfying breakfast.

    Stonemill Herbes de Provence

Design elements: Courtesy of Brand. EatingWell design.

    $4.49 per 2.2-ounce jar; available October 8

Herbes de Provence is a spice blend originating from the Provence region of southeast France, and this month, Stonemill’s Herbes de Provence is coming to your Aldi store—and it even comes with a cute wooden teaspoon! The dried herbs in this blend include savory, tarragon, basil, marjoram, rosemary, thyme and, for a subtle floral undertone, lavender. This versatile blend can be used for just about anything, from seasoning meat, fish and roasted veggies to infusing amazing flavor into soups, stews, vinaigrettes, and even bread. We use herbes de Provence for our Herbed Chicken Thighs and Provençal Baked Fish with Roasted Potatoes & Mushrooms. Can’t get to Aldi for this find? Making your own herbes de Provence blend allows you to tailor amounts to your taste.

    Specially Selected Gourmet Soup

Design elements: Courtesy of Brand. EatingWell design.

    $3.89 per 24-ounce jar; available October 8

If you need a soup to go along with your grilled cheese and don’t have time to make it from scratch, you’ll want to add these Specially Selected Gourmet Soups to your cart. This month’s finds include two comforting flavors that are sure to warm up the fall chill: Tomato Basil & Orzo and Creamy Thai Coconut Ginger. Pair the tomato soup with our Spanakopita Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Grilled Cheese with Spinach & Tomato, or Broccoli Melts. The coconut ginger soup may even work as a sauce over stir-fry veggies and noodles or rice. Or serve it with whole-grain crackers (Specially Selected crackers made the Aldi Finds list, too!) or toast up a slice or two of the Simply Nature Pumpkin Spice Bread. If you’re in the mood for baking, give our Homemade Multi-Seed Crackers a try. You could even whip up a healthy quick bread—which will also give your kitchen a cozy scent boost.

    Crofton Dinner Board

Design elements: Courtesy of Brand. EatingWell design.

$14.99 per board; available October 15

If you love creating charcuterie boards but wish there were designated spots for dip bowls and fruits and veggies that are likely to roll off the board (think olives, cherry tomatoes and grapes), this Crofton Dinner Board is your solution. This generously-sized board has three divots to hold bowls in place. The board also has short legs to make it easier to pick up off the table or counter. Ready to get creative? Check out our Winter Charcuterie Board for your next party or date night. Charcuterie boards don’t have to be just for dinner and parties, though. Try one of our breakfast charcuterie board ideas to start your day off on a fun and healthy note.

    Crofton Hanging Pantry Containers

Design elements: Courtesy of Brand. EatingWell design.

$9.99 per set; available October 15

Let’s face it. The pantry can be one of the most difficult areas of the house to keep organized—especially since most people in the house have their hands in it (and their idea of “organized” might be different from yours). This is why these Crofton Hanging Pantry Containers are perfect for busy families and anyone desiring a more peaceful pantry experience. Using double-sided tape, these clear plastic containers stick beneath a shelf. Each unit contains three containers of varying sizes that slide in and out for easy, convenient access—no more desperately searching for items stuck in the back.

    Barrissimo Coffee

Design elements: Courtesy of Brand. EatingWell design.

    $6.29 per 12-ounce bag; available October 22

Cooler temps call for heartier coffee flavors, like these Barrissimo Coffees in Caramel Macchiato and Vanilla Creme Brulee flavors. These 100% Arabica coffees carry the Rainforest Alliance seal, which means these coffee beans were grown on a farm that met the alliance’s strict standards for sustainability, including nourishing the land, using fewer pesticides, fighting climate change and treating their workers fairly. This is coffee you can feel good about drinking, knowing you’re making a difference with your purchase. Moderate coffee drinking may even offer some health benefits for you—so grab your mug and enjoy every sip.

    Barrissimo Frozen Frappe Cubes

Design elements: Courtesy of Brand. EatingWell design.

    $5.69 per 12-ounce bag; available October 22

Summer, spring, winter and fall, some people don’t care what the weather is—it’s always frozen coffee season. And now with these Barrissimo Frozen Frappe Cubes, you can have your caffeine and a smoothie, too, since you get both coffee and fruit in these cubes that you blend up with your favorite liquid. Each serving contains 100% Arabica dried coffee and a serving of mixed fruit. You may not even notice the frozen fruit, as it’s hiding among the coffee, caramel and vanilla flavors. These frappe cubes are naturally flavored and have no artificial colors or added sugar. If you’re ready to expand your coffee drink horizons, check out our menu of coffee drink recipes you can make at home.

    Chef’s Cupboard Gluten-Free Stuffing

Design elements: Courtesy of Brand. EatingWell design.

$3.99 per package; available October 29

While it may seem like a ways off, the holidays will soon be upon us, and now is the perfect time to start stocking up for holiday meals—starting with this Chef’s Cupboard Gluten-Free Stuffing. (Aldi will also start stocking some gluten-full options, like brioche stuffing mix, at the end of the month.) It comes in chicken and turkey flavors, both seasoned with their “special blend of spices.” The bread cubes used in this stuffing are made from white and brown rice flour, and the stuffing is certified gluten-free. You don’t have to wait until the holidays to eat stuffing, though. Use this stuffing mix alongside rotisserie chicken and Lemon-Dill Green Beans for a quick and easy weeknight dinner. If you’re ready to try your hand at homemade stuffing, check out our Healthy Stuffing Recipes.
