I don’t know about you, but now that it’s getting a little chillier, I’m starting to realize that my t-shirt and shorts combo isn’t really cutting it. I’m cold and damp; it’s beginning to rain in the Northeast, and I’m feeling a little too exposed. I don’t love spending hundreds of dollars on workout gear, so I’m turning to Lululemon’s hidden “We Made Too Much” section for price drops on high-quality activewear.
I didn’t know this existed until a co-worker pointed it out to me some years ago, and now I am constantly pursuing the section. Now’s a great time to take the plunge, because there are so many options, including belt bags, leggings, jackets and other seasonal items that I need.

Everywhere Belt Bag 1L
lululemon
This is a popular Lululemon item for a reason. It’s great for packing on-the-go essentials like money and earbuds. I tend to head outside more often in the fall because of the tolerable weather, so this type of bag would suit a lot of my adventures, whether I’m walking around a farm or I’m in the city for a long walk.
Define Jacket Nulu
lululemon
Transitional seasons are all about layers, and this soft zip-up jacket is the perfect example of what I tend to reach for. I can open it for breathability or close it to keep warm. The thumb holes in the sleeve are important because sometimes my hands get a little chilly on brisk mornings. If I’m out for a leisurely walk or working up a sweat, the moisture-wicking fabric keeps me dry and comfortable.
Fast Track Bag 2.0, 10-Liter
lululemon
This bag is a recent addition that works for a wide range of situations. I can wear the bag as a crossbody, a backpack or an over-the-shoulder bag, thanks to its straps. Much bigger than the Everywhere Belt Bag, it has 10 liters of space for snacks or even clothing for an overnight stay.
Hold Tight Long-Sleeve Shirt
lululemon
I started wearing a thinner, breathable shirt for workouts, and I am truly enjoying it! While it doesn’t absorb sweat as well as sweat-specific fabrics, I find that the lighter and softer feeling cancels that out. I only have one of these shirts, so I’d love to add to my collection now that I’ve seen this stunning espresso brown shade is available for a lower price.
Align High-Rise Pant, 25-Inch
lululemon
You can never duplicate the effectiveness of leggings. They keep me warm, soak up leg sweat (yes, my legs sweat horrifically in the gym) and the leggings never need adjusting. I have reached the point in my low-impact walking routine where I need to replace the worn-out leggings I have, and the comfort and softness of the Align pants is exactly what I need. A buttery, weightless legging that still stays on during incline walks and strength training ticks all the boxes for me.
Unisex Daily Essential Crew Socks, Stripe
lululemon
If you’re like me, there have been countless times when you step outside on a cold day and realize your ankles seem to be taking the brunt of the icy chill. Seriously, my whole body will be warm, but the exposed few inches at the bottom of my leg ruin the entire walk. That’s when I turn to my crew socks, and I like the striped design of these because they’ll add some visual appeal in addition to warmth. I prefer a plush sock when I’m working out to avoid any sneaker rubbing, so the fact that this $9 pair has a thicker, arch-hugging design makes it tough to resist!
Water-Resistant Cropped Hooded Jacket
lululemon
I lost my coveted raincoat during my recent move, which means I’m searching for a replacement. The moment I saw this cropped jacket in a stunning plum color, I added it straight to my wishlist. It’s oversized, so I can wear thicker long-sleeve shirts and sweatshirts underneath it, or thin short-sleeve shirts. The water-resistant material means I won’t get soaked the second a raindrop falls. And, most importantly, there’s a built-in hood for added protection.
Dance Studio Mid-Rise Jogger, Full Length
lululemon
These popular Dance Studio pants keep you comfortable. The cling-free fabric is so light and stretchy that it moves with you. There’s also an adjustable tie-waistband to keep them secure on your hips, which is great if you want to wear these on walks.
Swiftly Tech Short-Sleeve Shirt 2.0 Hip Length
lululemon
A fall essential, you need a simple t-shirt to wear under zip-ups and sweatshirts. Lululemon took this staple and made it perfect for sweaty workouts, thanks to the breathable seams throughout that soak up sweat and keep the air flowing.
Scuba Oversized Half-Zip Hoodie Long
lululemon
You can’t do autumn without a cozy sweatshirt. The bay leaf color in this Scuba half-zip instantly caught my attention as the perfect piece for the season. It’s soft and lined with fleece to keep you comfortable. The zip-up gives you extra warmth or breathability, depending on the day’s temperature. There’s even a hood for more comfort and coverage, if needed.
