13 Best Editor-Loved Kitchen Gadgets of 2025

I am a bit of a nut when it comes to kitchen tools—right now, they’re taking up over 60% of my Christmas list. After all, it’s part of my job! Each year, I spend hundreds, if not thousands, of hours testing and working with new items, whether unfamiliar to me or entirely fresh to the market. Because I also moved in 2025, my space got a refresh, and so did a lot of my kitchen gadgets! I found so many incredible gems that are now part of my everyday routine. 

To celebrate the incoming new year, I rounded up all of my favorite gear. From staples like reusable grocery bags to special pieces like mortar and pestle sets, the items below are what stood out to me most.

Creative Green Life Heavy Duty Reusable Grocery Bags, 3-Pack

Grocery shopping can be a challenge for a variety of reasons. The last thing anyone needs are flimsy bags that rip at the handle, fold and flop all over the place or are impossible to wipe down. I bought these out of frustration, especially with bulk shopping in mind. These bags help mitigate all of my concerns: They fold open and stay open, have a sturdy and secure handle, and are the perfect size to fit a ton of goodies inside. Plus, the smooth interior is very easy to wipe down when you need to sanitize or wipe up some unwanted debris or leaked liquids—a very important feature for me. 

Kikcoin Extra Large Bamboo Cutting Boards Set, 3-Pack

I made the conscious decision to strip my kitchen of most plastic items, cutting boards included. These Kikcoin boards were my ideal pick for a comprehensive set that was affordable but high in quality. I love the grain-like design of these cutting boards and, even though they’re only around $18 apiece—a great price, if you ask me—they feel solid (but still perfectly light in weight) and stand up after months of daily use. They’re easy to clean and have built-in handles for easy maneuvering, whether you’re washing them in the sink or putting them away for storage. 

Organic Cotton Mart Reusable Washable Produce Bags

I’m not the biggest fan of plastic produce bags, and I much prefer to reach for these organic cotton bags when I’m at the store. They protect and organize my produce, and I can reuse them. The tag includes the tare weight, and there’s a simple drawstring to keep items tucked inside. 

Once I’m home, I will take my produce out and properly prepare to store in my refrigerator. Most of the time my produce will keep well unwrapped—no more crumpled up produce bags clogging my already-small drawers. Plus, I’m not reaching for the plastic bags just to chuck them when I get home. When the bags need a good cleaning, I just pop them in the washing machine and I’m good to go.

I’ve gone on and on about these glass containers. Full transparency: Bentgo sent these to me to test them out when they first launched earlier this year. But I’d easily purchase these with my own money because I love them so much. They’re perfect—each container and lid is made with glass and silicone, and they have an airtight seal with a helpful vent I can open and close when I need to. Easy to clean and dishwasher-safe, they have never stained or absorbed odor even after many months. 

Bee’s Wrap Beeswax Wraps for Food

My favorite kitchen find of 2025, these Bee’s Wrap wax wraps are truly clever in every way. Made with beeswax, cotton, plant oils and tree resin, they’re a great alternative to plastic wrap for most applications. I love that I can cut each piece to size, wash and then reuse the pieces over and over again, saving money and reducing waste. 

Pyrex Colors Sculpted Tinted Glass Mixing Bowls With Lids, 3-Pack

Mix, store, serve or prep—these bowls do it all. The glass is sturdy and versatile, while the ribbed design adds a stunning vintage flair. I love that they’re colorful too; they look excellent on the table. With matching lids, the set has become a staple in my kitchen for anything from everyday meal prep to special baking occasions. 

Flairosol Olivia Tinted Glass Oil Sprayer

I bought a Breville Smart Oven for my apartment and use the air fryer function multiple times a week. Tired of buying aerosol bottles from the grocery store, which felt wasteful and impossible to customize, I bought this Flairosol glass oil sprayer. I love that the base is tinted glass to protect my oil and reduce microplastic exposure. The spray function gives the perfect mist that evenly coats ingredients. Most importantly, I can fill it with whatever oil I want, like heart-healthy olive oil or avocado oil. 

Souper Cubes 1-Cup Silicone Freezer Tray with Lids, Kale, 2-Pack

The freezer is one of my favorite kitchen tools. It extends the life of everything, including recipes such as this fall’s big batch of apple butter or my monthly lot of tomato sauce. Using the freezer to my advantage saves so much time and money, but only if I store items effectively. These Souper Cubes are game-changers in this regard. Because you can portion items out, you’ll always have exactly what you need at a time—no more taking out huge containers of something, just for it to go bad before you use it up. I use it for sauce, soups, fruit butters and more. The included lids make this a truly space-saving, stackable storage option.  

ChefSofi Mortar and Pestle Set, Black Polished Exterior

I bought a larger version of this mortar and pestle to make big batches of homemade pesto, but they’re also fantastic for making curry paste, grinding whole spices or whipping up homemade dips. They’re beautiful on the counter and the chic black granite design is both visually stunning and texturally effective, grinding ingredients easily and quickly. 

Zri Bamboo 3-Tier Expandable Spice Rack

I’ve invested in high-quality spices, so it’s important to me that I actually use them before they’re past their prime. I bought this spice rack as a very simple solution, and it works! The three-tier design means each spice container is very easy to reach. I’ve organized it in a way that I know what types of spices are on each row, making it straightforward and fuss-free to grab the spices I need. 

Pxrack 2-Pack Under Sink Organizer

I love these organizers so much, I have two under my kitchen sink and one under my bathroom sink. They’re very easy (and dare I say therapeutic) to put together. The brilliance is in the large base and compact top, because that means these organizers can fit around pipes without obstructing anything. They pull out smoothly, and they come with a thin liner if you store items that may run through the square openings. Thanks to these organizers, I can grab soap, sponges and cleaner easily. I can also keep track of what’s running low!  

Sur La Table American Black Walnut Salt Keeper

I finally found my perfect salt cellar! The magnetic top swivels open and close, which makes it exceedingly easy to reach for salt, especially in a pinch (pun intended). I absolutely love the cute mini spoon that comes attached to the cellar, too. At first, I never thought I’d grab it because it’s small. But it’s perfect for adding controlled amounts of salt (a cardiologist-approved tip!) to dressings, vegetables, sauces and more. I also love the tone of this walnut wood. It’s something I never plan on parting with in my kitchen. 

OXO Good Grips Fridge Undershelf Drawer

I have one word for this drawer: genius. Because of this absolutely clever design, I’ve added entire drawers to my slim apartment refrigerator. It attaches under a shelf in seconds, creating space for ingredients like cheese and other small bits and bobs. I’m all about taking advantage of vertical height (these risers are another favorite) and this does it so seamlessly. It’s like it was already part of the refrigerator.
