    • Some Costco frozen foods make it easier to build balanced meals that support weight loss.
    • These dietitians’ picks are nutrient-dense and convenient sources of fiber and protein.
    • From chicken and salmon to berry blends and frittatas, these RD faves are delicious and weight-loss friendly.

When it comes to managing your weight, stocking up on nutritious staples can make all the difference. That’s where Costco’s freezer section shines. From high-protein entrees to fiber-packed veggies and fruit, Costco offers a variety of products that can support weight management. Here are eight of the best frozen foods to look for on your next Costco run, plus dietitian tips on how they can support your goals.

    1. Kirkland Signature Stir-Fry Vegetable Blend

Washing and chopping vegetables can be time-consuming—that’s where this stir-fry vegetable blend comes in. This veggie mix includes ready-to-cook broccoli, sugar snap peas, green beans, yellow and orange carrots, mushrooms, red bell peppers, water chestnuts and onions.

Kay Lee, RDN, CDCES, recommends this pick, sharing, “It’s affordable, provides 2 grams of fiber per serving with very little sodium, and research shows that increasing fiber and resistant starch intake can reduce calorie absorption and support weight loss.”

Simply sauté or microwave this stir-fry blend, then serve as a side, mix into noodle bowls or add to fried rice to bulk up the veggies.

    2. Kirkland Signature Three Berry Blend

This berry blend includes blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. Emily Jones, M.S., M.B.A., RDN, says, “Berries are naturally low in calories, high in fiber and help you feel full, which makes it easier to cut back on extra snacking.”

This berry blend is naturally sweet with no added sugar, making it ideal to add to recipes like smoothies, yogurt bowls or a Protein-Packed Berry Crumble.

    3. Just Bare Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Chunks

    Costco. EatingWell design.

These time-saving, crispy chicken chunks can be heated in minutes and provide 16 grams of protein per serving. Jamie Lee McIntyre, M.S., RDN, recommends this as a great high-protein option to keep you satisfied, help curb cravings and support lean muscle while losing weight.

McIntyre adds, “Keeping a bag in the freezer means you can quickly build a balanced meal at home instead of relying on takeout, which often packs in more calories, fat and sodium. This is also helpful because high-protein diets have been shown in many trials to produce greater fat loss and preserve lean mass.”

Try adding these bites over leafy green salads or make a lunch-ready chicken Caesar salad wrap.

    4. PuraVida Fire Roasted Primavera Mistura

    Costco. EatingWell design.

This veggie blend includes zucchini, eggplant, red pepper and tomatoes, plus they’re pre-roasted, giving them extra flavor. Taiyyibah Moughal RDN, ISAK-1, HMCC, points out, “Eating more vegetables has been linked with modest weight loss and a lower risk of weight gain in both long-term studies and clinical trials.” Of course, these benefits vary based on the vegetable and each person’s unique metabolism.

Try adding this veggie blend over homemade pizza or mix into a lentil grain bowl.

    5. Kirkland Signature Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon

    Costco. EatingWell design.

Rich in high-quality protein and omega-3 fatty acids, frozen salmon is a nutrient-dense food that’s ideal to keep stocked in your freezer. Research shows that salmon can support heart health and satiety, likely due to its high-quality protein and fat content. The American Heart Association recommends enjoying seafood at least twice per week.

Salmon is delicious baked in foil packets, flaked into grain bowls or added to easy Sheet-Pan Salmon with Sweet Potatoes & Broccoli.

    6. Beyond Burgers

    Costco. EatingWell design.

Costco’s 10-pack of Beyond Burgers is a solid high-protein pick with 20 grams of plant-based protein per patty—thanks to ingredients like peas, brown rice, red lentils and faba beans. The burgers are made with avocado oil, which provides heart-healthy monounsaturated fats and slashes saturated fat to just 2 grams per serving.

Having a diet filled with colorful produce and plant-based proteins can often lead to lower overall calorie intake, which may support weight management and reduce the risk of obesity-related health issues.

    7. Tattooed Chef Organic Riced Cauliflower Stir-Fry

    Costco. EatingWell design.

While both white and brown rice can absolutely be part of a balanced eating pattern, riced cauliflower is significantly lower in calories and carbohydrates. That makes it a helpful option for anyone looking to enjoy larger portions without overdoing it on calories.

This Cauliflower Stir-Fry includes riced cauliflower, green peas, red bell peppers, corn, green onions and sesame oil, all tossed in a flavorful sesame-ginger sauce. It’s a convenient, veggie-forward dish to keep on hand.

    8. Veggies Made Great Spinach Egg White Frittatas

    Costco. EatingWell design.

These frittatas are perfect to keep in the freezer and either air-fry or microwave for a quick breakfast. Kristen Carli, M.S., RD, says, “I always recommend a few Veggies Made Great Spinach Egg White Frittatas for a convenient grab-and-go breakfast or serving on top of a salad for lunch. Each frittata packs 5 grams of vegetarian protein, is gluten-free and only 70 calories.”
