Ahead of AMP’s 2025 Annual Meeting and Expo in Boston, MA, editor in chief, Damian Doherty, and managing editor, Corinna Singleman, PhD, spoke with AMP’s president Jane Gibson, PhD.

For the last year, Gibson has been at the helm of AMP. In this discussion, she described activities AMP has undertaken on Capitol Hill in advocating for science funding. She stressed how the future of science and healthcare is through collaborative efforts between scientists and scientific societies.

She also shared some insights in programming for this year’s meeting, highlighting the educational and workshopping opportunities available throughout the entirety of the meeting. Gibson herself has worked collaboratively on a report that will be the presented and discussed during a workshop at AMP.
