- Costco recalls Caesar salad and chicken sandwich products sold at select locations.
- This recall is due to a plastic contamination in the Caesar salad dressing packaged with both lunch items.
- Dispose or return recalled items; seek medical help if symptoms occur.
Costco just announced a recall on two popular ready-to-eat items, according to a recent company letter. This is due to a potential foreign matter contamination.
The products affected are the Caesar Salad and Chicken Sandwich with Caesar Salad supplied by Ventura Foods. These recalled lunches have respective item codes “#19927” and “#11444” and have printed sell-by dates ranging from October 17 through November 9, 2025. While these products are past expired, the salad dressing is specifically impacted as it may contain plastic pieces, posing a risk for consumers.
These products were sold at select Costco locations in the Northeast, Midwest and Southeast. Check your refrigerator, and if you have either of the recalled items on hand (or the salad dressing from the products), dispose immediately or return to your local Costco for a refund. Contact a healthcare professional if you are experiencing any signs of illness or injury after eating one of the recalled products.
