The BMA has agreed a deal with the government to ensure that resident doctors are paid for the additional hours they work.
Changes to the “exception reporting” process will make it easier for resident doctors to report their working hours and unsafe staffing levels and will guarantee that they are paid for extra hours they work, the BMA said.1
