This Oil Dispenser Is One of My Most-Used Kitchen Finds

I am not someone who seeks out specialized gadgets for specific kitchen tasks, but one exception I always make is an oil sprayer. I need a fine mist of olive oil for air frying and baking because it helps quickly coat ingredients without excessive, uneven amounts. One thing I don’t need? Bad-tasting oil. It’s the main reason I don’t use those aerosol bottles from the grocery store. I don’t love what’s inside, including the taste, ingredients and overall quality.

Its mist is so fine that it seamlessly coats everything from flat slices of tofu to ragged chunks of potatoes. This is partly due to the pressure of the spray: It’s enough to dispense the right amount of oil (around 1 gram) and actually get it on my ingredients, rather than a non-precise mist that sort of floats into the air.

I love that I can fill the bottle with any healthy oil I want. In my own, it pretty much exclusively holds good-quality olive oil, such as my favorite from the brand Heraclea. Because of that, I always know what’s inside and never worry about unwanted ingredients or strange tastes. 

I own the green-tinted bottle, so UV light from the sun doesn’t penetrate the oil as easily, allowing me to leave it on my countertop comfortably. But the brand has other options, like this white bottle, for less money. I would just keep it in your pantry away from sunlight to maintain the quality of your oil.
