The New York City-based brand, was one of the first to market as the creatine gummy category emerged to provide on-the-go convenience for an expanding audience of creatine consumers drawn by its potential to boost performance for mind and body well beyond its traditional muscle-building benefits.“The opportunity to me was the build the mass market creatine brand that was focused on approachability, form-factor innovation and science-backed results,” said Dan McCormick, co-founder and CEO of Create. “As both a long-time creatine user and someone who is chronically online, I could tell the creatine space was ripe for disruption and growth.”Create is…
Delivering advanced therapies to patients who need them requires an effective transition from lab-based cell therapy activity to manufacturing at scale. Robust, reproducible processes that can adapt to increasing demand is key to ensure success from early-stage research to commercial production. In this GEN webinar, Nik Ekman will discuss critical considerations for scaling cell therapy processes from research through commercialization. During the webinar, you will learn how designing flexible, closed, compliant workflows early drives efficiency, quality, and sterility assurance across cell therapy development. Some key takeaways from the webinar include:Key scaling considerations through each stage of the cell therapy development pipeline—from…

New research has found that components in cardamom seed extract show significant antiviral properties. The effects were tested on human lung cells, which revealed the extract activates certain sensors that produce cytokines, which are essential for viral infection defense. The publication in Foods found that the bioactive 1,8-cineole, in particular, enhances the production of type I interferons (cytokines) through intracellular nucleic acid sensors. Bioactive compounds can interfere with viruses at different stages of their life cycle to alter the body’s immune response to the infection, explain the researchers from Shinshu University, Japan.“Cardamom has historically been widely used as a spice with medicinal…
