Since adding the Always Plan Pro to my kitchen, the rest of my cookware has been collecting dust. While $179 might seem like a lot to spend on one pan, I’d deem it a worthy investment for this healthier, nontoxic, versatile cookware—and with the current holiday markdown it’s a total no-brainer.
On pre-sale now and with a limited run available on UK retail shelves from January until April 2026, the new SKU promises shoppers ‘next level’ protein indulgence.“I can quite confidently say it’s our best bar ever,” the brand’s founder Alan Barrett told NutraIngredients. “We’ve taken what people love about Grenade and paired it with the most iconic Easter treat to raise the bar—pardon the pun—on what people should expect from their snacks.” “It’s also a first for us as the bar has a ‘soft core’—something we’ve never done before.” The brand’s softest core yet is made from “light, fluffy protein…
The EPA greenlit isocycloseram for agricultural use on crops including potatoes, citrus fruits, tomatoes, almonds, peas, oats, and leafy Brassica vegetables like broccoli and kale. According to the agency, “no human health risks of concern were identified when isocycloseram is used according to the registered labels.”
Manulife aims to help improve people’s physical, mental and emotional health, while increasing financial confidence across their lifespan. Multinational insurance firm Manulife has launched a new Longevity Institute backed by a commitment of $350 million through 2030. The initiative is designed to accelerate progress on lifelong health and financial resilience as demographic pressures reshape expectations for how people live, work and age. Headquartered in Canada, Manulife, which operates as John Hancock in the United States, says the new institute aims to close the widening gap between lifespan and healthspan, a divide that leaves many spending a significant portion of their…
In a large-scale laboratory study at the University of Cambridge, UK, scientists screened human-made chemicals to identify 168 compounds that are toxic to “good bacteria” found in the gut. These include pesticides such as herbicides and insecticides that are sprayed onto food crops, as well as industrial chemicals used in flame retardants and plastics. These compounds restrict the growth of gut bacteria studied for their properties in maintaining health, the study highlights. Previously believed to have no effect on bacteria, most of these chemicals are likely to enter the body through food, water, and environmental exposure.Because bacteria can alter their…
Lifestyle habits can help manage cholesterol, but sometimes levels remain high despite best efforts.Genetic variants, like familial hypercholesterolemia and ApoE, make some people more susceptible to high cholesterol. Medications, other health conditions, stress and smoking may also play a role. Over 20 million adults over the age of 20 in the United States have high cholesterol. High cholesterol is often viewed as something you can fix by eating healthier, exercising regularly, choosing lean proteins and limiting saturated fat. And while nutrition and lifestyle habits can make a significant difference, there are other factors that may also affect cholesterol levels. Many people…
Black Friday deals include thousands, if not millions, of products on many of our favorite retailers, like Hoka, Le Creuset, Lululemon, Caraway and Zappos. Choose wisely—we don’t recommend wasting money on certain products like plastic containers, flimsy shoes, plastic cutting boards and more. Instead, shop items like non-toxic cookware, glass food storage, comfortable sweatshirts, high-quality leggings and supportive sneakers, starting at $13. Unlike Amazon Prime Day, sales events like Black Friday are unique because they span many online retailers. You’re only limited by your preferences! After speaking to so many experts in 2025, like cardiologists, podiatrists and dietitians, I made…
